In the first development stage, the new funding portal from the digital banking software provider CREALOGIX went live at L-Bank in August 2022. Customers get simple, digital access to funding and are now networked with Baden-Württemberg's development bank in a direct and efficient manner.
Using the CREALOGIX product standard as a basis, L-Bank succeeded in introducing the first development stage of a user-friendly customer portal in a record time of three months, thus meeting its ambitious schedule for the project. The portal features a dashboard with an overview of applications, an inbox for direct exchange with the L-Bank and an administration area. The "Digitisation Premium Plus" funding product is one of the first products for companies that L-Bank customers can now apply for in a purely digital manner and communicate directly with L-Bank in the process.
This digitisation step is the prelude to further funding programmes that will be available online. In the first step, priority is being given to grant programmes; this can be expanded later with a view to loan programmes provided by German and European trade and industry promotion. By doing so, L-Bank will successively implement its digitisation strategy. The funding portal is an important requirement, not least in order to comply with the German Online Access Act (OZG), according to which it must be possible to apply for funding applications online.
Edith Weymayr, Chair of the Board at L-Bank, had this to say:
"When it comes to the further digitisation steps we have planned, we’re encouraged by the fact that a central digitisation initiative for L-Bank focusing on digital communication for our customers could be implemented quickly and on time. In doing so, L-Bank is fulfilling its funding mandate from the state to drive forward the transformation of business and society and thus to maintain the high quality of life and strong economy of Baden-Württemberg."
The rapid implementation of the funding portal project is an important milestone for CREALOGIX in process digitisation for the public sector. Oliver Weber, CEO of CREALOGIX, says:
"The involvement of all stakeholders such as applicants, ministries, municipalities or third parties will make our funding portal a low-code industry standard. We’re very much fostering ‘digital Germany’ for the benefit of its citizens."
CREALOGIX has already won nine German development banks for the Development Bank Portal digital hub and is continuously expanding to ensure that further processes and communication channels can be integrated in the future.
