On 2 November 2017, the Swiss software company CREALOGIX transformed the planetarium in Lucerne into a universe of digital banking. On a "Mission Future", over 50 industry experts got an exclusive glimpse of the latest digital banking products. The fintech company also presented the "PayEye" QR code scanner for the first time ever as a response to the Swiss QR code.
Digitalisation means even more emphasis is being placed on the customer. With regard to security and the constant need for simplicity, ever higher standards are being set. New technologies are rapidly changing the customer's experience of daily monetary transactions.
Marc Stähli, CMO and Head of Sales at CREALOGIX, says:
"In order to maintain their competitiveness, financial institutions need to develop new business models and optimise offers for their customers. The products introduced by CREALOGIX Digital Banking and Digital Payment, such as the Digital Banking Hub, allow companies in the banking and finance sector to easily integrate new offers."
"PayEye" scanner for the new Swiss QR code
Monetary transactions in Switzerland are undergoing change. Starting in 2019, the QR-bill will replace the current orange and red pay-in slips. These contain all payment-relevant information in the Swiss QR code. In early 2018, CREALOGIX is launching "PayEye" to allow these data to be quickly and easily transferred into financial software or online banking. The scanner, developed exclusively in Switzerland, records and checks the IBAN and code lines on pay-in slips, as well as payment information printed in the Swiss QR code. The wireless tool can be used on Windows or macOS.
Scalable architecture for sustainable open banking
The digital transformation poses a challenge to the financial sector. Directives such as PSD2 (Payment Services Directive 2) complicate things further.
"If banks open up, they succeed in developing new business models. But to do this they need open architecture. This is exactly what our Digital Banking Hub makes possible."
This solution allows banks to integrate third-party services into their portfolio, or to develop their own products in these sectors. Banks are therefore expanding their core business using API-based architecture, and are meeting the demands of PSD2 and Open Banking.
"With these and other innovations, CREALOGIX is setting itself the goal of continuing the success of 2017 and expanding its position as market leader in Digital and Mobile Banking."
